Our NaNoWriMo 2020 project is drawing to a close!
As in years prior, we used this NaNo as an opportunity to write and publish TV-length scripts using one of our favorite IPs as a jumping off point. In the spirit of NaNo, the challenge was to brainstorm, put pen to paper, and finish a full draft all in the span of one month.
Unlike previous NaNo projects though, this time we didn’t collaborate on a single screenplay. Instead, we partnered with our good friend Peter Holmstrom to write three individual episodes of an anthology show we’re calling The Arkham Files.
Originally ideated during an episode of Speed Pitching, this idea takes classic DC Comics villains, and reimagines them through the lens of various styles of found footage storytelling.
Over the past few weeks, we’ve taken The Arkham Files from pitch, to concept, to finished drafts of scripts, and starting today, we’re sharing those screenplays for your feedback and (hopefully) enjoyment!
Let us know what you love, what you hate, and what you’d like to see from the series going forward. We’ll be returning to these scripts in the future to polish them up, and maybe more…
Below, you can find a link to read episode one of the series now, with episodes two and three dropping later this week. Please follow us on Twitter for updates on when these scripts will be available.
In the meantime, you can download a PDF of the full script for Episode 1: Riddle Me This here.
